About Me
Honest hair removal, from the man who was on the table long before he ever held the tweezers.
Before I ever held a pair of tweezers, I was the one on the treatment table. I have been a hair-removal client far longer than I have been a practitioner, which means every service I offer at MAIR Care, I have first felt on my own skin.
I came to this work the long way around. I have spent roughly thirty years in IT, and I still do, running both careers side by side with a hard wall between them. When you are on my table, the laptop is shut and you have my complete, unhurried attention.
I opened MAIR Care in The Beaches in 2013, built on an idea that felt overdue: the same skill, the same professionalism, and the same fair price for everyone, offered discreetly, with no one ever told this is a female-only service and sent home to the razor.
Skilled, ethical, and built on trust.

The letters behind the name
I am a Certified Professional Electrologist (C.P.E.) and serve as a Board Director of the Federation of Canadian Electrolysis Associations (FCEA). My training runs from waxing and medical aesthetics through laser and electrolysis, and I have never stopped adding to it. I stay endlessly curious, always pursuing the next advanced skill and certification, so keep an eye on this space.
Waxing
Full-body and detail work for those who like things kept even more meticulous than they would admit, on a clean five-week rhythm.
Laser
Modern DPC-IPL on the SharpLight platform, judged honestly so you only pay for the sessions you need.
Electrolysis
The only truly permanent method, on every hair colour and skin tone, one careful follicle at a time, on the industry's finest electrolysis machine, the Apilus xCell Pro from Dectro International.
Calm, private, and meticulously clean
MAIR Care is an upscale, WiFi-ready, home-based studio in Toronto's east end, held to exacting standards of cleanliness with strict sanitation between every client. Settle into a chic, relaxing room, choose a playlist or take over the sound system yourself, and unwind. Most clients forget the service entirely. I have been known to fall asleep during my own.
Whoever you are, you belong on this table
Men and women, young and old, straight, gay, bi, fluid, or still deciding, trans and non-binary, first-timers and lifers. Beneath it all we share the same skin, the same small discomforts, and the same quiet joy of feeling at ease in it. Whoever you are and wherever you came from, you will be treated with the utmost care and respect.
