What Kind of People Come to See Me?

Who My Clients Are and Why It Really Doesn’t Matter

I am often asked what kind of clients come to MAIR Care. The short answer is simple. Everyone.

The longer answer matters more, because it speaks to the environment I have intentionally built and the values behind it.

First and foremost, MAIR Care exists as a safe, discreet, and inclusive space. That is a deliberate choice. After years in an industry that can feel cold, clinical, and stripped of personality, I wanted to create something different. Technical skill is essential, but how a person feels when they walk through the door matters just as much.

All Genders Welcome

The clients I see represent the full spectrum of gender identity, including:

  • Cisgender men
  • Cisgender women
  • Trans men
  • Trans women
  • Non-binary clients
  • Gender-diverse and gender-questioning individuals

Hair removal needs are not defined by gender, and neither is respect. Every client is treated with the same professionalism, care, and consideration.

All Sexual Orientations Welcome

I work with clients who identify as:

  • Straight
  • Gay
  • Lesbian
  • Bisexual
  • Queer
  • Pansexual
  • Asexual

Sexual orientation is never assumed and never relevant to how someone is treated. Comfort, dignity, and trust are the priority.

Every Age, Every Body

My clients range in age from 18 to 86. Some are beginning professional hair removal for the first time. Others are returning after years of managing hair in ways that never fully worked for them.

I see:

  • Tall and short
  • Thin and thick
  • Athletic, curvy, soft, lean
  • Slightly hairy to full-on sasquatch

Bodies vary. Hair varies. All of it is normal.

Quiet Clients and Talkative Ones

Some clients prefer silence. Others talk more than I do, which is impressive.

Both are welcome.

Appointments can be quiet and calm or filled with conversation, laughter, and the occasional tangent that goes absolutely nowhere. I follow the client’s lead. Comfort looks different for everyone.

What Almost Every Client Has in Common

Despite the diversity, nearly every client arrives feeling some mix of:

  • Nervous
  • Anxious
  • Self-conscious
  • Excited
  • Relieved to finally be there

It does not matter how confident someone appears. Sitting down for a personal service involving your body makes most people feel vulnerable. That vulnerability is met with patience, compassion, and respect.

There is no hierarchy here. Every client is treated equally and thoughtfully.

Humour and Humanity Goes a Long Way

And then there is the part people don’t expect.

No matter who you are, everyone is subjected to:

  • The same dry jokes
  • Random, impromptu karaoke
  • Mildly unhinged conversation
  • Endless distraction during uncomfortable moments

Not because it is unprofessional, but because it helps. Laughter and connection lower anxiety. Distraction matters when services are uncomfortable. A relaxed client experiences better outcomes.

Hair removal does not need to feel sterile or isolating. It can feel human.

Final Thoughts

The clients I see are diverse in every possible way, but they all deserve the same thing: a space where they feel safe, respected, and understood.

I have been on the other side of these treatments. I know how vulnerable it can feel, how daunting it is to walk into an appointment for the very first time, and how much courage it takes simply to show up. Those experiences stay with me, and they shape how I approach every client and every treatment at MAIR Care Inc.

MAIR Care Inc. is built on the belief that technical excellence and genuine warmth belong together. Skill matters, but so does humanity. Compassion, patience, and understanding are not extras. They are part of the treatment.

Whoever you are, however you identify, and wherever you are starting from, you are welcome here. You are supported at every stage of your journey.
