Why Join MAIR Care?
We are building more than just a clinic.
We are building a highly respected, inclusive, detail-focused space where clients feel genuinely comfortable, welcomed, and cared for.
MAIR Care has developed a very strong and positive reputation through word of mouth, Google, Reddit, and increasingly even ChatGPT recommendations. Clients regularly travel to us from across Toronto and beyond, including Montreal, Buffalo, and even Nunavut specifically for the professionalism, inclusivity, technical precision, and quality of care our clinic has become known for.
Because of this, we place tremendous importance on finding the right person to help maintain, protect, and continue moving the MAIR Care brand forward.
We are also extremely busy and experiencing continued growth, which is why we are looking to expand our team with the right long-term candidate.
The ideal person for this role is someone who:
- enjoys connecting with people
- takes pride in precision and cleanliness
- appreciates both technical excellence and human warmth
- enjoys working in a busy, fast-paced environment
- wants to continue learning and growing within the industry
- values professionalism, inclusivity, and attention to detail
If that sounds like you, we would love to meet you.
About MAIR Care Inc.
MAIR Care Inc. is a Toronto-based professional hair removal clinic, established in 2013, specializing in:
- waxing
- laser hair removal
- electrolysis
- grooming and trimming services
Our practice is built around men’s hair removal, and the majority of our treatment volume is male clients. We also serve female, transgender, and non-binary clients, including advanced gender-affirming hair removal and pre-surgical preparation for procedures such as vaginoplasty and phalloplasty.
Professionalism, compassion, discretion, inclusivity, and technical excellence are at the core of everything we do.
Position Overview
We are currently hiring for an:
Entry-Level Esthetician / Trainee Hair Removal Technician

Type: Part-time to start, with a defined path to full-time
Pay: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour, based on experience and credentials
Training: Provided. No prior hair removal experience required.
We are willing to train the right candidate from the ground up.
While experience is certainly an asset, professionalism, personality, reliability, willingness to learn, work ethic, and overall fit for the clinic matter just as much. If you have a diploma or certificates, send them. If you do not, apply anyway and tell us why you want to learn this work.
What We Will Teach You
- Hair biology, growth cycles, and Fitzpatrick skin typing
- Waxing technique across all body areas, including intimate work
- Laser hair removal fundamentals, settings, and safety
- Electrolysis theory and probe technique
- Infection prevention and control to Toronto Public Health standards
- Client consultation, contraindication screening, and consent
The owner is a Certified Professional Electrologist (C.P.E.) and Vice-Chairperson of the Federation of Canadian Electrolysis Associations. For a candidate who commits to it, this role includes a structured, supervised path toward professional electrology certification. That is not training you can easily buy in this city.
Where It Can Lead
- a full-time role
- advanced technical responsibilities
- management opportunities
- leadership roles
- future educator or trainer positions
Looking Toward the Future
As MAIR Care continues to grow, one of our long-term goals is to eventually open a specialized training academy focused on advanced hair removal education and real-world esthetics training.
We are not simply looking for someone to “fill a position.”
We are looking for someone who may eventually grow with the company into mentorship, leadership, management, or educational roles as the clinic and future training programs continue to expand.
Important: Scope of This Role
Please read this section carefully before applying. It is the single most important requirement of the position.
The successful candidate must be willing and comfortable performing hair removal professionally on all body areas, for a diverse clientele. This includes, as a routine and substantial part of the work:
- male intimate and genital hair removal, including waxing and electrolysis
- gender-affirming and pre-surgical hair removal
- female clients across all treatment areas
This is not an occasional or optional part of the role. Maturity, discretion, clinical composure, and genuine respect for client comfort and dignity are essential. If any part of the above is something you would not be comfortable performing, this is not the right position for you, and we would rather you know that now than three weeks in.

If you bring additional skills, specialties, or ideas to the clinic, we would love to hear about them.
